1. About pushfeed

pushfeed is a free service that matches news and other public feed content to topics and keywords you choose. Optional push notifications can alert you to matching stories.

2. Your account

Provide an email address you control and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for your use of the account and should tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. Do not impersonate someone else or use their email without permission.

You must be legally able to enter this agreement or have the parent/guardian authorisation required by local law. Do not use pushfeed where doing so is unlawful.

3. Acceptable use

You may use pushfeed for lawful personal use. You must not:

• Use the service for harassment, stalking, fraud or other unlawful activity.
• Attempt to access another person’s account, private information or systems without permission.
• Disrupt the service, distribute malicious code, bypass security or deliberately overload our infrastructure.
• Use automated access that harms the service or bypasses reasonable usage limits.
• Submit material that violates another person’s privacy or intellectual property rights.

Only enter information you are entitled to use. Avoid including sensitive personal information about yourself or others in your topic names or keywords.

4. Third-party stories and your preferences

Publishers and other sources retain their rights in articles, images, summaries and linked content. Displaying a link does not mean we endorse it. Third-party websites have their own terms and privacy practices; saving a favourite does not grant you rights to republish a story.

You retain any rights you have in the preferences or other material you submit. You allow us to store and process that material only as needed to operate and secure pushfeed and provide the features you request.

5. Matching and notifications

Matches depend on your settings and the content available from sources. Results may be incomplete, delayed, duplicated or incorrect. Notifications also depend on your browser, device, network and permissions, so delivery is not guaranteed.

pushfeed is not an emergency alert service and should not be your only source for urgent, medical, legal, financial or safety decisions. Check the original source and obtain appropriate advice where needed.

You can change topics and notification preferences in the app, and revoke notification permission in your browser/device settings.

6. Price and service changes

The current service is free and does not require payment details. You remain responsible for your own internet and device costs. Any future optional paid feature would require separate pricing information and your agreement before you are charged.

We may maintain or change features, apply reasonable usage limits, or withdraw parts of the service. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes or closure where practicable, unless urgent security, legal or operational reasons prevent it.

7. Ending use and account suspension

You can stop using pushfeed at any time. Contact us to request account deletion; there is currently no self-service account deletion button. You can remove individual topics and favourites in the app.

We may restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to address misuse, a breach of these terms, a legal obligation or a security threat. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to address it. Contact us if you believe a restriction was made in error.

Data handling after deletion or closure is described in our Privacy Policy. Ordinary feed matches are subject to routine cleanup; saved favourites are not a guaranteed permanent archive. Keep your own copy of information you need.

8. Our responsibilities and your legal rights

We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, complete news coverage or delivery of every notification.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Your mandatory consumer and data protection rights remain unaffected.

Subject to those rights, we are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses arising from use of this personal consumer service, to the extent the law allows.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the service or applicable law. We will update the date on this page and provide reasonable advance notice of material changes where practicable. Where a change requires your agreement, we will ask for it. You can stop using the service and request deletion if you do not wish to continue under revised terms.

10. Governing law and questions

These terms do not remove any mandatory consumer protection or right to bring proceedings in your local courts that applies to you.
